Willie Jones, III partakes of the drum tradition of masters Philly Joe Jones, Billy Higgins and Art Blakey as he expands it.  As sideman for Horace Silver, Arturo Sandoval (on Sandoval’s Grammy winning album, Hot House) and Michael Brecker, among others, Willie’s impact on the current jazz scene has been undeniable.
